On November 28, 2023, the Opening Ceremony for the First China International Supply Chain EXPO (CISCE) and the Global Supply Chain Innovation and Development Forum was successfully staged in Beijing, with the participation of over 1,100 representatives of politics, business and academic circles from more than 90 countries, regions and international organizations. Themed as “Connecting the World for a Shared Future”, the First CISCE is committed to helping domestic and foreign enterprises build a stable, safe and smooth global system of industrial chain and supply chain.
In order to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and Hungary on promoting bilateral cooperation, the Hungarian Pavilion, hosted by the Ambassy of Hungary Beijing and organized by the Joint Laboratory of Digital Culture Trade, made a wonderful appearance at the First CISCE, focusing on trade and investment, cultural tourism, scientific and technological innovation.

The Hungarian Pavilion Grandly Opened, and China-Hungary Cultural Exchange Event Drawing Great Attentions
On the afternoon of November 29, the Hungarian Pavilion was grandly opened. Mr. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Mr. Máté PESTI, Ambassador of Hungary Beijing, Mr. Lin Shunjie, President of China International Exhibition Center Group Limited, Mr. Meng Xiangfeng, Assistant to the Chairman of CATL, and Mr. Roby Lakatos, world-renowned Hungarian violinist, came together to witness this important moment, and attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Máté PESTI gave an in-depth interpretation of the multiple advantages of Hungary’s investment environment. As the first EU country to join in the Belt and Road Initiative, Hungary has always maintained a high level of cooperation with China. Under the policy of “opening to the East”, the Hungarian government has actively coordinated its superior resources and vigorously supported Chinese enterprises to invest in Hungary. In the future, Hungary will continue to optimize its investment policy and business environment, and further promote China-Hungary economic cooperation. He expressed the hope that after the First CISCE, more people will have an in-depth understanding of Hungary, achieve interconnection in more areas, and better realize mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mr. Meng Xiangfeng said that Hungary is not only one of the popular European destinations for Chinese new energy vehicles and parts companies, but also a key link in the globalization layout of CATL. They hoped that after the First CISCE, they could be better integrated into the global value chain, so as to provide first-class solutions and services for global new energy applications, effectively promote the transformation and sustainable development of economy to green and low-carbon in China and European countries, jointly create a better future for China-Eu economic and trade cooperation, and help Hungary become one of the leading electric vehicle industry centers in Europe.

Mr. David Yuan, artist of the Joint Laboratory of Digital Cultural Trade, shared his collaboration experience with Kő Ferenc, a Hungarian artist, and presented the artworks they created together, CISCE MR.DAVYUAN. He said that the cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Hungary have a long history and profound origins, and there is a natural sense of affinity and identity between the artists of the two countries. The cross-border art not only enhances the friendship between the artists of the two countries, but also brings new creative inspiration and ways of expression, showing more possibilities for art cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr. Roby Lakatos, world-renowned Hungarian violinist, gave the audience a lively musical feast with a number of famous Hungarian compositions. Then, students majoring in Hungarian Language at Beijing Foreign Studies University worked with Roby to perform Hungarian folk songs, winning cheers from the audience from time to time. We have the faith that with the joint efforts of the Chinese and Hungarian governments and people from all walks of life, bilateral people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation yield fruitful results.

At this CISCE, the Hungarian Pavilion shows the charm of Hungary with unique content planning and display methods. Many Hungarian products made their debut in China, including 3 brands of Beijing Beauty & Health Trading Co., LTD., ExtraVital, a Hungarian premium dietary supplement brand dedicated to improving sleep and boosting immunity, RICHTOFIT, a Hungarian sports care brand that has been well received by the fitness industry, and Ai丨Life Intelligent Medical Records, an artificial intelligence medical aid tool that brings innovation and change to the medical industry, as well as other featured products sold by Europe Hungary International, like Hungarian wines, Alpokaqua, a brand of natural mineral water from the Alps, Zsolnay, a world-renowned Hungarian porcelain brand, and a variety of Hungarian biscuits.

CISCE MR.DAVYUAN co-created by Hungarian artist Kő Ferenc and Chinese artist David Yuan, perfectly integrates the unique style of Chinese and Hungarian artistic elements. With the gorilla-shaped MR.DAVYUAN as the “language carrier”, it displays the characteristics of the targeted and themed supply chains in CISCE through rich colors and lines, adding modern artistic flavor to the event venue.

The Hungarian Pavilion brings a wonderful exotic atmosphere to the First CISCE, and also draws a blueprint for practical cooperation between China and Hungary. This “two-way trip” across the Eurasian continent is in line with the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind. People from all walks of life said that this event would further promote in-depth exchanges between the two countries in culture, art, science and technology, business investment and other fields, and inject surging momentum into the development of bilateral relations.
